This program is designed to train therapists working with couples to utilize a three-session assessment tool to quickly and accurately identify areas of strength and weakness within the marital relationship. Program Details

  • Therapists will be trained to use the “Couple Checkup” tool and interpret the results to be shared with both members of the couple.
  • The course supports therapists to identify key relational areas needing attention and share these with the couple. These areas include attention to: communication, conflict resolution, financial management, leisure activities, sexual relationship, family and friends, and spiritual beliefs.
  • The course will also therapist with specific tools and out of session work to assist the couple in strengthening the marital special areas such as: roles and responsibilities, life transitions, and relationship.
  • This course will address blended families. The training will allow couples in multiple realms with a structured approach while actively engaging their clients.
