This workshop will explain some of the relationship pitfalls that can occur after divorce and offer guidance to help avoid them. We will discuss your own emotional healing after divorce, understanding your relationships with friends and family, and even new marital relationships and stepfamilies. Legal Horizons After a separation or divorce, there are many legal issues that must be considered immediately and others to protect you in the future. This workshop, taught by an Estate Attorney, will explain the legal issues you will face after a divorce. This includes changing names on titles, mortgages and insurance. We will also discuss planning for your future. Co-Parenting Horizons Divorce is stressful for parents and children alike. A child's emotional reaction will depend on their age, but it is not uncommon for these feelings to be expressed in their behavior. A child's emotional reactions can be different from the parent's and it is important to understand those differences. This workshop will offer divorced parents strategies to minimize the children's stress while adjusting to their new family structure. Financial Horizons During your marriage, if you were not the one handling the finances, you must adjust to the new role. This workshop will offer financial guidance while you are adjusting to your new lifestyle. We will be discussing the importance of your credit, how to create and implement a spending plan and long-term savings.
