We recognize that everyone going through divorce or separation has special circumstances and needs. The following is a list of all of the steps available. Some people do not need all of the steps outlined.

1. CONSULTATION
Your attorney-mediator gives you valuable information about your legal and other important matters. You are given a procedure proposal and fee estimate.

2 . PARENTING AGREEMENT
Your therapist-mediator helps you understand how to reduce the impact of your transition on your children. You make an agreement that addresses their schedules and all important co-parenting matters.

3. FINANCIAL TERMS
Attorney consultation, Therapist parenting agreement, accountant tax and financial terms and marital settlement agreement
Your attorney-mediator helps you understand your legal rights and obligations. You use that information and your own sense of fairness to agree on the terms of your financial settlement.

4. TAX TERMS
Your accountant-mediator reviews your financial terms and discusses their tax ramifications. You are advised on how to reduce taxes.

5. MARITAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
Your attorney-mediator reviews your settlement agreement with you. You are advised to have all documents reviewed by another attorney. Those who wish to get a divorce decree through the courts are guided through the procedure.

6. FUTURE FINANCIAL STRATEGY
Your financial expert helps you address concerns, develop strategies and set goals for your individual financial future.

SINGLE ISSUE MEDIATION: Alpha also mediates single issues such as parenting agreements, support agreements and separations. Please contact us for more information.
